Victory Sports Network is excited to release our NAIA Football Magazine for 2015.
We've retained the best parts of previous issues, and added some great stuff too. We hope you enjoy it!
Navigating the site
Like last year, the lay out the content is done as if it were a paper magazine, something that you would page through from cover to cover. Navigation is at the top of the page:
In addition to the typical menus you find at the very top, on every page you will find a set of "breadcrumbs" links that show you your current page, one or more "topic" pages for that page, and the home page. Below that, you will find "Back" and "Forward" links that will make it easy to page through the magazine. The "Overview" link takes you back up to the closest topic page.
A note about the content you will find here...
Team Data and Previews
The biggest difference this year is that the NAIA has agreed to share with us the information collected from school SIDs, gathered for the purpose of producing the Preseason Football Rating. You see the same information the coaches do! Plus, we still solicite fresh information from the schools prior to publication, as well as quotes from the coaches about what they thing of their teams for the coming year. We will continue to add fresh preseason data as it comes in. You can track these changes by checking the "Updates" link on the menu bar above. The team data still comes from Dakstats, and is refreshed nightly as the schools update. Many of the schools do not submit rosters directly; they self populate as they submit the playing stats of those players. In a few cases that is true of the schedules themselves.
Official Team Previews and Videos
Text and video team previews produced by the athletic departments themselves are back, and this year the articles are greatly expanded. This year we can take as many preseason articles as the schools publish, and total as of Aug. 21st is 103; The College of Idaho contributed ten! You can find a link to these articles below the coach's comments, if such have been produced by the program, and below that the video previews produced by the teams and conferences are embedded. They videos are "playlists", so there might be more than one for each team queued up. I hope you like them!
This great feature is back! Just click on the What's On link at the top menu to browse what games are available on the internet this week, whether it be video, audio or live stats.
A complete map of all 2015 teams is included, with the markers grouped by conference.
Want to compare stadiums? Now it's easy, with each team's stadium included with a photo and address.
I hope you enjoy this year's edition of VSN's NAIA Football Magazine.
