NAIA Football-1995 Wheat Bowl Results
|
J.D. Gilmer's dream became a reality as the inaugural Wheat Bowl Football Classic was presented as a post-season affair between two Kansas City-area NAIA schools, Ottawa University and MidAmerica Nazarene University. MidAmerica's Jermaine Peacock scored twice on runs of 14 and 27 yards on his way to offensive MVP honors. The Pioneer defense, the second-ranked defense in the nation in 1995, allowed Ottawa only 64 rushing yards. The final score was 38-0.
